Job Detail
As a Front Line Manager, reporting directly to the Operations Manager, your primary responsibility will be overseeing a team of service delivery coordinators. Your focus will be on ensuring they consistently deliver exceptional service to our customers while maximizing profitability in line with our margin targets.
Shifts are Monday to Friday between hours of 7am to 7pm (8 ½ hours shift length) , flexibility is required regards working hours. Current vacancy is 0930 to 1800.
Your role includes:
- Managing, coaching, and developing the Service Delivery Coordinators to achieve margin KPIs and customer SLAs.
- Ensuring a consistently high standard of customer service from the Service Delivery Coordinators.
- Cultivating strong relationships with key customers, drivers, and internal departments, serving as a crucial link to Account Managers and other Front-Line Managers.
- Ensuring prompt and professional responses to all customer and driver requests.
- Maintaining continuous communication with customers and drivers throughout the service provision process.
- Taking a proactive approach to identify and address potential issues before they arise.
- Having full autonomy over costing and charging for all jobs.
Your responsibilities and duties include:
- Performance management of Service Delivery Coordinators to meet margin KPIs and customer SLAs.
- Monitoring and improving communication channels with key customers.
- Acting as the point of escalation for queries, issues, and complaints from Service Delivery Coordinators.
- Conducting 1-2-1s, appraisals, and Performance Reviews for Service Delivery Coordinators.
- Managing attendance performance and sickness.
- Monitoring calls and providing coaching for improved telephone service.
- Managing team roster, annual leave, and staff training.
- Ensuring accuracy in customer and driver pricing.
- Handling invoice queries, invoicing preparation, and driver discrepancy processes.
- Collaborating with Account Management and the Commercial Team on new solutions and cost models.
- Maximizing profit by managing job margins and minimizing losses.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory law, company policies, and health & safety guidelines.
Applicant Criteria:
- Level 3 Leadership qualification or equivalent preferred. (may be requirement of role is to study for this if not qualified)
- Strong prioritization skills based on scheduling and resource availability.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Drive and ambition for career progression.
- Flexibility in work approach and availability.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Effective oral and written communication abilities.
- Logistics experience desired but not essential

Crown SDS are offering an excellent opportunity to be part of a great team environment in a rapidly growing business. Reporting to the Warehouse Frontline Manager, you will be responsible for the primary role of driving goods from Customers / Suppliers into and out of Crowns warehouse. This is a customer facing role. We operate various shift times, current vacancy is based on 0900 to 1730 shift , this is 40 hour week.
Responsibilities and Duties include (but not exclusive to):
- Collecting stock from numerous customer locations hubs and delivering into Crown Warehouse
- Communication with all to ensure efficient receipt and delivery of products
- Ensure the customer receives a first-class service
- Drives safely and following all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Loading and unloading of deliveries
- Using manual handling best practices to lift goods
- Communication throughout the day with key personnel
- The delivery of all items of stock and to achieve KPI targets
- Co-ordinate, monitor and assist with the receipt, order and dispatch of goods
- Ensure deliveries are loaded/unloaded within given time scales and checked against paperwork reporting any errors to the parties concerned
- Loading and unloading ensuring accuracy and maintaining safe load systems using manual handling or forklift equipment.
- Scanning and sorting of parcels onto delivery van
- Liaising with customers providing a faultless service
- General maintenance of company vehicle( such as oil/water levels ) to ensure within vehicle regulations
- Updating and maintaining system accuracy for all movements
- Demonstrate a keen eye whilst working under pressure.
- Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring you comply with statutory law, company policy & health & safety guidelines
- Ensure deliveries are completed within given time scales and checked against paperwork reporting any errors to the parties concerned
- Liaising with all internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required within reasonable request including general warehouse duties
Applicant Criteria:
- Strong work ethic giving full attention to detail and accuracy as high degree of detail and focus is required on every job
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and manual handling techniques
- Administration skills including Microsoft Office experience
- Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills
- Scanning knowledge an advantage
- Able to work with all levels of staff.
- Able to communicate and facilitate customer needs
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Be able to demonstrate a strong customer focus in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong administration skills
- Willingness to be flexible
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with willingness to co-operate and work effectively as part of a team
- Full Clean Driving licence is required
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Fork lift licence required
