Two employees at Crown Couriers have been shortlisted and are in the running to receive an industry leading National Courier Award at a virtual ceremony, hosted by the Institute of Couriers.
Kelly Millichap, who has been part of the Crown Couriers workforce for over 10 years and Lee Galvin, who has worked with Crown Couriers for 6 years have been shortlisted for the National Courier Awards.
Both employees were put forward for their dedication, commitment and quality of service – via an online application process by managing director Tim Seagers.
Night shift team leader Kelly, responsible for a team of seven out-of-hours co-ordinators, has excelled by ensuring the entire ‘out of hours’ business operation (deliveries and warehouse) is operating smoothly throughout the night, while also providing dedicated support to key customer accounts.
Lee Galvin, contract driver, is allocated to a number of key customer contracts including the UK’s largest clinical homecare provider, delivering to patient’s homes and is a lead driver on one of the courier company’s key automotive contracts.
Tim Seagers, Managing Director says, “I was delighted to announce that two members of our team have been shortlisted for the Institute of Courier awards.
It has been an extremely difficult and challenging year for everyone within the delivery sector, and the IoC reported that the calibre of nominees from across the industry has been very high. So, it is an excellent achievement for both Kelly and Lee to get to this stage in the process.
This year is the first that we have submitted nominations to the institute and coincides with the business celebrating its 30th anniversary, so we are thrilled that both nominees have been shortlisted.
Due to COVID, the 2020 awards will not be held in person this year. We are counting down to the official awards ceremony 20th October via video link.”
